Individual artistic mentorship

For the past fifteen years, I have created performances, choreographed for theatre, exhibited my artworks, developed artistic and pedagogical methods, founded School of Disobedience and Performance Now! Festival, built Anna Ádám Studio, taught internationally, accompanied artists, written critical theory, and developed projects from first intuition to public form.

Depending on what you need, I can help you see what is not working, identify what is missing, give precise feedback, unblock a process, clarify a direction, structure a work, or transfer tools you can continue using on your own.

Where are you stuck?

Across 15 years of teaching and mentoring, these are the problems I most often work with:
  • The work is stuck. Something is not working, you have too much material, or you cannot finish. We diagnose what needs to change.
  • Your practice feels scattered. You make many things but keep starting from zero. We identify the methods, questions and forms that are already yours.
  • Your work is not getting through. Rejections, weak portfolio, unclear documentation or language. We look at what others actually encounter when they meet your work.
  • Teaching is harder than the content. You struggle with boundaries, authority, conflict, group dynamics or holding the space. We work on the frame.
  • You want to turn what you do into something bigger. A workshop into a programme, a method, a school, a recurring format or an artistic structure.
  • The work exists, but the conditions around it don't. Pricing, formats, audiences, distribution, partnerships, income: we work on how the practice can actually sustain itself.
  • You don't know the next move. What to develop, stop, change, finish, show or build next. We clarify the decision.

All sessions are 50 minutes, one-to-one with Anna Ádám.
